Here is my second ten marker challenge, I'm currently working on getting the video up, but the markers that got blind chosen were : BV13- Hydrangea Blue [I almost forgot to list this :0!!! ] bv34Bluebell, b93Light crockery blue, b95-Light grayish cobalt, y15-Cad. Yellow, e34-Orientale, c7 w9, b0000-Pale celestine, r08-Vermillion. This particular drawing is of my character Juuo, but in a 'snow juuo' kind of appearance, because, yeah, her hair is pink not purple. Vocaloid often makes certain themed versions of their characters for many occasions [I.E. Cherry Miku, bottle miku and etc] so I decided that this is just going to be forever known as 'snow Juuo' due to her color scheme and the time at which I drew it. This was a christmas picture because I had sketched it out before blind picking my colors and had planned on using regular colors for it, BUUUT I was too lazy to come up with a different type of sketch and, well, here you have it.
Juuo is a type of character whom people often refer to as a 'doll' because of her very sweet exterior in the female body, it's often the same when it comes to Juuo's male body, but it is more prominent in the current body in which she resides. Even though the wicked spirit is often associated with the color pink, Juuo despises all things that are cute, sweet, and stuffed for the purpose of aesthetic amusement. She often spends her free time trying to completely downgrade such things and, considering it appears she has gotten a teddy bear for Christmas, she is none to happy to have received such a gift. I imagined she would have ripped the head off of the creature and was like "Oh LOOOK so CUTE NOW!" in front of the person who gave her such a gift.
So, yeah, my little darling is unhappy with being referred to as 'little' and has a bit of a temper on her. In short, she is just a smol and angry little pink fluff who happens to eat the remains of the dead, and...if she is paid enough....the living.
The ten marker challenge is a little thing started by Sakuems on youtube [At least I believe she was the one who started this challenge] to use ten markers, rather than three. While the three marker challenge is quite difficult, I believe that the ten marker challenge provided more of a problem for me. I had to spend time doing a 'paint' thing with the markers, doing my best to blend them out. It was a text of my color wheel knowledge and I love this challenge for it!~~
I must say that this is a huge improvement from my first ten marker challenge, ever since I saw how sloppy and not very blended the piece was I worked to think more about making things look need, clean, and somewhat decent in the professional area. There are always good reasons to take up artsu challenges, they do help you see some areas where you need improvement, so that you can work on them. I hope you all enjoy and I will include a link to the Youtube video once it is done taking forever to upload.
